Sale Ambulance auxiliary volunteers secure funding for Life-Saving Corpuls Resuscitation Unit
Sale Ambulance Auxiliary volunteers secure funding for a life-saving Corpuls resuscitation unit, supporting emergency service workers in critical situations.
The team of volunteers at the Sale Ambulance Auxiliary support our local emergency service workers in very practical ways and have secured funding for a life-saving piece of equipment. Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester provided a $5500 grant to assist the volunteers in their fundraising for a Corpuls resuscitation unit.

Portable life-saving innovation
Mr Chester said, "It's a specialised piece of equipment that can perform CPR on a patient while the ambulance officers perform other tasks. In complex situations, it could be the difference between life and death if the machine can maintain CPR and the paramedics are free to deal with other ailments."
"The machine is portable and could also allow for CPR to continue while a patient is being transported to hospital and access more advanced care options in the quickest time possible. Well done to all of the auxiliary volunteers for supporting the life-saving work of our first responders in Sale," Mr Chester said.
