Helping customers cope
Mr Moss said, "We understand the pressures the increasing cost of living can have on our customers, so we're working to ensure our water bills remain stable and affordable. We've absorbed some of the inflationary pressures to ensure customers weren't burdened with the full impact of increasing costs. This is part of our strategy to keep bills steady for longer and provide customers with exceptional services at a reasonable price," Mr Moss said.
Gippsland Water customers will see a 1.9% increase to their bills, the second lowest increase across the 12 regional Victorian water organisations, sitting below the average increase of 2.6%. Mr Moss said that customers struggling to pay their bills could reach out to the organisation for assistance.
"We understand that some of our customers may be struggling financially and we can provide help to those in need. Our friendly customer care team is ready to help find the best option for you through free and confidential advice, the team is available to chat on 1800 050 500," Mr Moss said.
