Join Great Victorian Bike Ride and travel from Snowy river to sea through Fish Creek in South Gippsland on 2 December 2023
Join the Great Victorian Bike Ride from 'Snowy to the Sea' in South Gippsland this December. An iconic annual cycling event, it's a journey, a festival, and an escape in tranquil regional towns.
From the 'Snowy to the Sea', embrace the journey as the Great Victorian Bike Ride passes through our region. The Bicycle Network's Great Victorian Bike Ride is coming to South Gippsland this December. Beginning in 1984, Victoria's favourite annual regional ride is a rite of passage for people who ride bikes and has established a proud reputation for being much more than a cycling event.
This year, the Great Bike Ride, 2,000 riders will camp in Fish Creek, showcasing regional hospitality with organised events and activities on 2 December 2023
Rolling bike festival
The Great Vic is a rolling bike festival that pedals to a new town each day, setting up camp where riders can soak up an evening of entertainment. For seasoned campaigners, it's an annual catch up with 3,000 friends. For others, it's the first time they've ridden more than a few kilometres at once - let alone nine days in a row.
But for everyone, it's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life in and around tranquil and inviting regional towns, and this year promises to be no different. Find out about upcoming road closures, events and activities as well as the riders schedule, head to The Great Victorian Bike Ride page.
