Darren Chester thanks voters as Gippsland polls declared, citing strong support and democratic integrity
Darren Chester thanked Gippslanders after polls were declared, praising the AEC's integrity and vowing continued commitment to local issues following his re-election with Victoria's highest primary vote.
The official declaration of the polls in the Division of Gippsland was the final formality for the Australian Electoral Commission after concluding the vote count. Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester extended heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the AEC staff for their professionalism and integrity in conducting a ballot across Australia, where voters remained confident in the fairness of the outcome.

Mr Chester said, "Our democracy is precious, and we should never take it for granted.
