Metung Hot Spring: A perfect school holiday for family fun and relaxation
Enjoy a family-friendly day at Metung Hot Springs with pools, nature walks, hammocks, and delicious food. Relax, explore, and indulge in a rejuvenating experience for all ages this school holiday.
Wellness isn't just for grownups! Bring the kiddos along to Metung Hot Springs for a day out with the family that will be both fun and relaxing. It's easy to spend a day with the family soaking in the pools, lounging in a hammock, taking a nature walk or visiting the Country Club next door.
Start your day soaking in hilltop barrels, stargazing pools, and lagoon waters before unwinding in bean bags with coffee
Relax and explore
Hit the pools
Arrive early and head to the Hilltop Escarpment where you can dunk yourself in an individual bathing barrel, then laze in the wide, shallow Stargazing Pool. Make your way down to the Lagoon Precinct and dip into the largest pool, the Lagoon Pool, then relax to the soothing sounds of the waterfall in Wombat Pool.
In between these reviving soaks, let the kids feel the warm, soothing stream of the outdoor geothermal showers. Perhaps they can work themselves up to braving the frigid temperatures of the cold mineral plunge pool.
Unwind at the Lagoon Lounge
Find serenity under the stretch tent filled with bean bags and egg chairs overlooking the lagoon. It's the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or snack from the small cafe, and BYO food is welcome.
Discover the nature trail
If the kids need to burn off some energy, you can take a romp on the nature trail, weaving through bushland with glorious views across the Gippsland Lakes.
Picnic or dine
BYO picnic
Come with all your family favourites packed in a hamper - there is plenty of space for an idyllic picnic on the grounds.
Dine at the Country Club
The Country Club is just a 7 min walk away - make sure you grab a pass out from the office. The Clubhouse offers an all day grazing lunch menu featuring Gippsland produce. The kids can enjoy the sandpit area, while perhaps you imbibe from the fully licensed bar.
Relax at Bathing Ridge with scenic pools, geothermal showers, a cold plunge, hammocks, a reflexology walk, and refreshing coffee hut treats
Relax and refresh
Explore Bathing Ridge
Head to Hillview Pool, the highest point of the property. There are a number of pools for soaking, taking in the utterly delightful views or surrounding flora, geothermal showers and a cold plunge pool. Make the most of the king-sized hammocks at the top of the hill.
Reflexology Walk
Tread slowly over the different sizes and shapes of stones, stimulating the acupressure points in your feet.
Bathing Ridge Coffee Hut
If it's time for a refuel, the Coffee Hot has you covered for grab and go snacks: chia cups, fresh juices or a caffeine hit.
