Wellington's free Jobs and Careers Fair connects job seekers with local employers, training providers, and career pathways across a range of industries - no registration required, just bring your resume and explore.
Wellington Shire Council is proud to share the return of The Middle of Everywhere Jobs and Careers Fair. This free event offers job seekers the opportunity to explore a wide range of local career options and connect directly with employers and training providers, all in the one place.
The May Jobs & Careers Fair offers a free opportunity for locals and employers to connect and explore career opportunities on 14 May 2025 at The Stables
Pathways in Gippsland
Whether preparing to enter the workforce, retrain, or take the next career step, attendees will have the chance to explore opportunities across key local industries. These include:
- Defence and public safety
- Health and social assistance,
- Hospitality and tourism
- Trades and apprenticeships
- Renewable energy and mining
- Agriculture
- Education and training
- Professional services and recruitment
- Emergency services
- Local government and infrastructure
Job seekers can expect to:
- Explore current job vacancies, apprenticeships, and training pathways
- Speak directly with employers and industry professionals
- Gain tips on job hunting, upskilling, and career development
- Attend with no registration required - attendees can simply bring their resume and turn up on the day
Wellington Shire Council Mayor, Cr Scott Rossetti said the event is an important part of building a strong and skilled local workforce. "The Jobs and Careers Fair is about showing people that you don't have to move away to find a meaningful and rewarding career. There are so many opportunities right here in The Middle of Everywhere, across a wide range of industries."
Opportunities for everyone
Mayor Rossetti reinforced that the fair is not just for school leavers, but for anyone considering a new opportunity. "Whether you're just starting out, returning to the workforce, or considering a complete career change, the Jobs and Careers Fair gives you direct access to employers and training providers who can help you take the next step"
Cr Rossetti encouraged anyone thinking about their future to attend. "Come along, have a conversation, and discover what's out there. You might be surprised at the pathways available and the support on offer to help you succeed."
