The announcement outlined a $250,000 Victorian government funding commitment towards a $350,000 oval lighting upgrade at the reserve.

Boosting Buln Buln
Baw Baw Shire Deputy Mayor Cr Tricia Jones welcomes the support from the Victorian government. "This project will include four new 25 metre towers with LED fittings, improving visibility and usability of the field particularly throughout the cooler months."
"This announcement means that the project can be delivered in the upcoming 2025/26 financial year and is another project in the Rural Recreation Reserve Master Plan that can now be completed in partnership with the Victorian government. This is a great outcome for the Buln Buln community," she said.
The reserve is home to a number of vibrant local sporting clubs including the Buln Buln Football Netball Club, the Buln Buln Junior Football Club and the Buln Buln Cricket Club, with over 15 teams between them. The lighting upgrade will provide oval users with safer training conditions and enable night games to be scheduled at the reserve.
