Request for Wellington Shire businesses to list with council to be promoted to the 50,000 visitors for Archibald Prize exhibition in October at Gippsland Art Gallery
Council is encouraging the businesses and community groups to send their expressions of interest for the Archibald Prize exhibition.
In the lead up to the Archibald Prize 2021 at the Gippsland Art Gallery, Council is asking local businesses, tourism operators and community groups to complete an online Expression of Interest form to let us know what is planned for the 45-day exhibition period, 8 October - 21 November, 2021.
You can be any age to enter the Archibald, Wynne or Sulman Prizes, to the best portrait 'preferentially of some man or woman distinguished in art, letters, science or politics, painted by any artist resident in Australasia
Ensuring enough open businesses
We are expecting around 50,000 people to visit Wellington during the Archibald Prize and want to ensure we have enough businesses open and extra experiences available for visitors and locals during this time.
Send your expressions of interest
Once you have completed the relevant EoI online form below, we will list your business, event or offer on The Middle of Everywhere website, which links directly from the Archibald Prize Gippsland website's 'Plan Your Visit' page.
We are looking forward to showcasing the wonderful small businesses and community groups that are right on our doorstep! To purchase tickets to the Archibald Prize 2021 at the Gippsland Art Gallery, please visit Archibald Prize Regional Tour.
For local businesses, you can send your expression of interest at the Archibald Prize business expression of interest. For tourism businesses and community groups, you can send your expressions of interest at the Archibald Prize tourism businesses and community groups expression of interest.
