Melina Bath urges local clubs to apply for Country Football and Netball grants to boost community sport facilities by 7 July 2025
The Nationals' Melina Bath is encouraging local football and netball clubs to apply for grants of up to $250,000 to upgrade facilities, improve safety, and strengthen community sport across Eastern Victoria.
The Nationals' Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Melina Bath is encouraging all local football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations to apply for funding under the latest round of Country Football and Netball Program grants. Grants of up to $250,000 are available for sport infrastructure developments including court and oval lighting upgrades, change room developments and new pavilions for local clubs and communities.

Support community sport
Ms Bath said the Country Football and Netball program provides a valuable opportunity for grassroots clubs to secure much-needed funding for upgrades. "In our country communities, sporting clubs often face increasing demand for service but have limited resources - they regularly rely on fundraising to pay the bills and upgrade their facilities."
"A successful grant can help deliver modern, inclusive and safer facilities that support everyone from junior players to our valued long-time volunteers. Community sport plays a vital role in bringing people together in regional areas. Strong, well-resourced clubs help boost participation, support volunteers, and build community spirit," said Ms Bath.
Applications close on Monday, 7 July 2025, and clubs must register their interest through their local council. For more information or to apply, visit Country Football and Netball Program | Sport and Recreation Victoria website.
