Alongside Morwell Neighbourhood House volunteers, they chop vegetables and cook nutritious meals for transport to the local food bank.
The meals will be distributed to those who need them. The Peoples Kitchen is regularly attended by local organisations, businesses, and community groups who volunteer their time to lend a hand.
Gippsland Water managing director Sarah Cumming said the organisation was committed to supporting the community. "Our customers value us being involved in the local community. Initiatives like the Peoples Kitchen are a practical way of helping locals in need, especially with the increased cost of living pressures. They also provide our people with a sense of pride in being able to give back to their community," Ms Cumming said. To learn more about the Peoples Kitchen visit Morwell Neighbourhood House website.
