Councillor Cook took the oath of office and is now an official Councillor for Baw Baw Shire. |
Vibrant Communities - EOT0025/21 - Main South Rd Drouin (extension of time, Drouin school) |
Council moved to extend the commencement and completion dates of Planning Permit PLA0063/16 by three years, subject to the condition that the permit will expire if the development does not commence by 18 October 2023, or if the development and vegetation removal is not completed and the use commenced by 18 October 2029. |
Safe and Sustainable Environments - Update on the implementation of council's Open Space Maintenance Standards |
Council noted the report and implementation of Council's Open Space Maintenance Standards as well as other business efficiencies within the Infrastructure Maintenance department. |
Safe and Sustainable Environments - Local law review |
Council adopted the reviewed Community Local Law 2016 following amendments made after the exhibited community consultation period. Council will provide a copy of the Community Local Law to the Minister for Local Government. |
Organisational Excellence - Councillor committee appointments 2020-2021 |
Council appointed Councillor representatives to the relevant external committees and Advisory Committees for the remainder of the 2020-2021 period. |
General business motion
Councillor Gauci raised two general business motions, they were:
- Request for an update on the Municipal Early Years Plan 2019-2023 before the next Advisory Committee meeting
- Request for Council to note feedback fro user groups regarding the proposed scope of the Baxter Park Pavilion Upgrade, and receive a report by 11 August outlining the impacts of increasing the scope of the project to include an additional two change rooms
In line with easing of restrictions across regional Victoria, Council Meetings will be open to members of the public.
Council meeting
Commencing with the Wednesday 23 June 2021 Council Meeting:
- Numbers are strictly limited to 30 guests (not including Councillors and staff) who must register via Councils website to attend
- QR Codes sign in, physical distancing measures and the wearing of masks will be in place at all meetings
Meetings will remain available to the public via live stream, and community submissions can be made in writing. The agenda for the next meeting will be available online the Friday prior to the meeting.
