Grand Ridge Road

One of Victoria's most scenic drives, the Grand Ridge Road weaves for 40km through tall trees, native bush and lush green hills, blending together warm country villages, wineries, breweries and tranquil parks and bushland.

Visit Mirboo North

This charming artsy village nestled in the fabled hills of the Strzelecki Ranges is bristled with warm cafes, shops to browse and the Grand Ridge Brewery. It's also the starting point of the lush Grand Ridge Rail Trail (13km to Boolarra).

The murals along the heritage buildings are a nod to the town's historical past, which grew alongside the development of the railway in the late 1800s.

Narracan Falls

This block waterfall, wider than it is long, is short but thunderous. Fringing the falls is the beautiful Narracan Falls Streamside Reserve, a large grassy area, perfect for picnics.

Enjoy listening to the sound of cascading water after a swim in the pool below. Let the dogs and children play in the large open field, complete with a 'magic' hollow tree. Morwell River Falls

Hidden off an unsuspecting gravel road is the picnic-perfect Morwell River Falls. An easy walk from the car park takes you through a pocket of stunning native bushland, through the dappled light of the mountain ash forest.

The path meanders alongside a series of cascades of the tranquil Morwell River. Reach the wide pool at the bottom of the largest fall for rock scrambling and toe-dipping.

This walking trail takes you to a remote location and dense bushland as part of its charm, the walk takes 15 minutes return and is suitable for seniors and children

Lyrebird Forest Walk

Discover a little piece of magic on a peaceful walk which winds through scented temperate rainforest. The 4.8km loop walk (1:30 hours) weaves through beautiful eucalypt forest near Mirboo North.

If you don't spot a shy lyrebird, you may encounter other beauties in the area including white-throated treecreepers, cockatoos, robins, brown thornbills, thrushes, laughing kookaburras and crimson rosellas.
