Gippsland Community Leadership Program celebrates more than 25 years of developing regional leaders at Lardner Park

The Gippsland Community Leadership Program (GCLP) celebrated more than 25 years of developing regional leaders on Friday night at Lardner Park in the beautiful Baw Baw Shire.

Committee for Gippsland CEO Tony Cantwell said GCLP Alumni from as far back as 1996 joined in the celebrations with people travelling from near and far. "The program is a strength of our Gippsland region in building the skills and capabilities of our people, better connecting our communities with industry and people, while creating new friendships along the way," Mr Cantwell said.

Gippsland Community Leadership Program has been running for more than 25 years and is auspiced by the Committee for Gippsland, supported by the state government and local sponsors

Enhancing skills

The Committee for Gippsland has proudly delivered GCLP since 2011, building the skills and capabilities of our people across the region and better connecting our communities with industry and people, while creating new friendships along the way.

During the night the audience heard from Barry Rogers a number of alumni on their journey post GCLP and how they have been able to give back to our region. GCLP Alumni, provided a rich history of GCLP over the years, especially acknowledging those who were instrumental in the formation of GCLP including Heather Farley and Wayne Casey.
