Rotating award category
A rotating award will also be chosen each year, including one category from the following:
Environment and Sustainability Award (2023)
Recognises outstanding contributions towards the protection or enhancement of Bass Coast's natural environment, advocating for climate action or embracing sustainable living.
Contribution to Arts and Culture Award (2024)
For those who have made an exceptional contribution to the arts and cultural life of the community or a remarkable achievement in an arts and cultural activity. This can include, but is not limited to individuals, organisations, events and exhibitions.
Sports Leadership Award (2025)

Inspire others to get involved
Bass Coast Shire Council Deputy Mayor, Cr. Rochelle Halstead said, "At council we know there are many individuals in Bass Coast doing incredible things. From our vibrant sports scene to the melting pot of arts creativity, via extensive nature conservation: Bass Coast is powered by dedicated, passionate and generous community members."
"The new Bass Coast Community Awards is a fantastic way to celebrate those amazing community leaders, showcasing their highly valuable work. We also hope these awards inspire others to get involved in giving back to the wonderful people and places that we share our stunning home with. I very much look forward to congratulating our first Bass Coast Community Award winners in May." Cr Halstead said. Learn more and apply at Bass Coast Community Awards page.
