Manufacturing precinct upgrade

This year's state budget has allocated $10 million towards the Morwell Food Manufacturing Precinct to include construction upgrades, including connection to power, water and sewage as well as works to improve access for heavy vehicles and manufacturing equipment.

"Construction and planning for this precinct will provide a long-term piece of infrastructure for our region in the short term and will support the creation of local jobs during construction and in the longer term with advanced manufacturing, the agriculture sector and during construction."

"Australians are keen to buy and support locally grown, produced and manufactured products and this Morwell Food Manufacturing Precinct will help more Australians support our farmers. The Morwell Food Manufacturing Precinct will showcase the capacity of our local agricultural industry and further drive advanced manufacturing in the Gippsland region," Ms Oakley said.
