Project funding secured

Mr Chester also said, "The synthetic green was already approaching the end of its useful life before it was inundated with ash and fire debris two years ago. By selling a vacant block of land owned by the club and various fundraising efforts, the volunteers were in a strong position to bid for a grant.

"I'm pleased to see they secured $85,000 for this project." Mr Chester said. The club members plan to install the new green as soon as contractors can be arranged.
