Local artists invited to express interest for Cowes Public Art Commission 2023 by 15 January 2023
Bass Coast Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced artists to create a contemporary public artwork for Cowes.
Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan, explained that the key aim for the commission is to provide an invitation that welcomes everyone to the culturally dynamic and activated Cowes town centre. "We want the local community and visitors to Cowes to see this work as a symbol of the cultural vitality of the township. We hope it becomes an additional attraction to the area. We're looking for creativity that reflects the development of Cowes as a contemporary cultural centre."
Artists (or teams of artists) are invited to register their interest in participating in by submitting an 'Expression of Interest (EOI)' via the Smarty grants until 15 January 2023
Expression of interest
Artists are required to register their interest by submitting a portfolio of previous works and an online application by close on Sunday, 15 January 2023.
