Inspiring future leaders
Mr Chester said, "We discussed the three different levels of government, the roles and responsibilities of the federal government, how the government is formed, and how the community decides who represents them in parliament."
"They asked a range of questions and even asked me for my autograph - it's not every day you get to feel like a rockstar! I also presented this year's school leaders with their Achievement Certificates to acknowledge their roles within the school," he said.
Mr Chester encourages the students at Yarram Primary School to dream big, work hard and show good leadership within their school and the local community. "One of the best parts of my job is visiting local schools, speaking with students and helping them understand what their local Member of Parliament does and how I am working to support the community on a daily basis," Mr Chester said.
