Outdoor Entertainment Rebate Program gives up to $300 from Bass Coast Shire Council

Bass Coast Shire Council's Outdoor Entertainment Rebate Program will give businesses rebates of up to $300 for providing outdoor entertainment this summer.

From Tuesday, 4 January, entertainment such as live music, artist in residence, face painting, creative workshops, poetry or author reading sessions and performance artists will be eligible for the rebate, if it meets the guidelines.

Opportunity for local businesses

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said the program presents a wonderful opportunity for the local business community to show support for the local arts community, which has also been hit really hard by the pandemic.

"Applications for the rebates will open on Monday, 10 January and will be accepted until the $50,000 in available funding is exhausted or until Thursday, 30 June, whichever comes first," Cr Whelan said.

"These rebates are being provided as part of the State Government's COVIDSafe Outdoor Activation Fund and they are open to all Bass Coast businesses, including hospitality, health and fitness, retail and hair and beauty. There are some eligibility requirements, so please visit the outdoor entertainment rebate website to find out more about the program." Cr Whelan said.
