Council election gratitude
South Gippsland Shire Council would like to thank all candidates who put their hand up for this election, and our previous Councillors who won't be returning to the Chamber for this next term - namely Mohya Davies, Jenni Keerie, Adrian Darakai and Mick Felton.
And finally, we would like to thank all of those in the community who returned their ballots by the nominated date. We had a higher percentage of enrolled voters across all Wards lodge their vote on time, compared to 2021, which is fantastic to see.
Kerryn Ells, CEO South Gippsland Shire Council said, "I am looking forward to working with all the Councillors-elect and understanding better what they want to achieve together and individually. There is a busy six-months ahead for our incoming Councillor group, with a full Transition Program and required training to get through, as well as preparing key plans and strategies for their term."
