Latrobe City Council re-opens Cumberland Park kindergarten after negative results for COVID-19
Identified close contact resulted negative from COVID-19.
Latrobe City Council has been advised that the two primary close contacts identified in Latrobe City, associated with the Cumberland Park kindergarten, have returned negative results for COVID-19.
Deep cleaning has been done to the Cumberland Park Kindergarten due to reported COVID positive case, that now has negative results from the virus
Deep cleaning completed
The primary close contacts are linked to a tier 1 exposure site out of the municipality. As a precautionary measure, in line with COVID safe practices, deep cleaning of the kindergarten has been completed today. Management has contacted families and staff who access and work at the kindergarten to advise of the negative test results. Classes will resume tomorrow at the kindergarten.
Proactive respose
Council would like to again acknowledge the proactive response by the impacted family. This has allowed council to act on the advice ahead of formal notification, ensuring the safety of our community. We would like to encourage anyone experiencing even the mildest of symptoms to get tested
