Delburn Wind Farm application for over thirty wind turbines submitted
Delburn Wind Farm Pty Ltd has applied to the Minister for Planning for planning permits to develop the Delburn Wind Farm.
There are four planning permits in total detailing the development of a wind energy facility (wind farm) in Delburn and its immediate surrounds. The wind farm will comprise of 33 wind turbines.
The Minister for Planning is considering planning permit applications for the Delburn Wind Farm and associated terminal station that requires 3 separate planning permit applications to be lodged Planning applications
The applications affect land in South Gippsland Shire, Latrobe City and Baw Baw Shire. Planning permit application PA2001066 affects South Gippsland Shire Council and proposes four wind energy turbines, associated buildings and works and vegetation removal.
The four planning permit applications are now on public exhibition (advertising). The submission period concludes on 18 August 2021. Details of the planning permit applications can be found on the webpage of the .
Assessing and approving proposal
It is important to note that the Minister for Planning is the responsible authority for assessing and approving the Delburn Wind Farm proposal and not Council. Submissions must be made in writing and emailed to development.approvals@delwp.vic.gov.au or posted to the Minister for Planning, PO Box 500 East Melbourne, VIC 3002. Submissions should not be sent to Council.
