New home for Maffra Neighbourhood House with $54,345 from federal Building Better Regions Fund
Maffra Neighbourhood House will have its own dedicated facility thanks to funding from the Federal Government.
Local MP Darren Chester recently visited the new venue to hear about the planned works. The building which is owned by the Freemasons has been generously made available to Maffra Neighbourhood House to use for the next 10 years.

Upgrade to include spaces
Mr Chester said, "Due to operating inside of the hospital and restrictions of visitors due to the coronavirus pandemic, finding a new venue to house the group was essential. The new venue will be upgraded to include spaces to cater for a range of activities including craft, fitness and computer skills."
"The group hopes that the new venue will encourage more of the community to engage with the Neighbourhood House and act as a hub for the town." Mr Chester said. Maffra Neighbourhood House received $54,345 as part of the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund.
