Join the panel to shape public art for South Gippsland's Koonwarra underpass project, EOI closes on 20 December 2024
South Gippsland Shire Council seeks three community members for a panel to select an artist for a public art installation at Koonwarra underpass, enhancing the Rail Trail. Apply by 20 December.
Council is seeking three qualified community members to join an exciting panel to select an artist or creative team to deliver public art in the newly constructed Koonwarra underpass. This is a unique project for South Gippsland Shire Council, presenting a key component in the building and development of the Shire-wide Public Art Trail, as well as enhancing the Rail Trail experience. This project promises to deliver a creative and high quality public art installation to an environmentally and structurally significant site.

Expressions of Interest are now open to the public to join the panel responsible for selecting an artist or artist group to execute the Great Southern Rail Trail Public Art Installation Project. Council is looking to engage three panel members:
- Two panel members will be required to have experience of a permanent lighting or sound installation
- The third panel member is required to demonstrate an understanding of the site and its unique environment with knowledge and experience of public art preferred
The three selected applicants will join two South Gippsland Shire Council Officers to complete the selection panel. Expressions of Interest close Friday 20 December 2024.
