Crime StoppersHow you can be a crime stopper By Emma Kae - 12th June 2001 - Back to News Tell us your opinion See what others have said Unfortunately, crime has become a part of our everyday lives. You might not have been a victim of crime (yet) but you almost certainly have been affected by it.
The cost of crime on an individual and on society is high. Whether it is burglary, car theft, or assault - we all have to pay. Insurance premiums, replacement cars or goods, emotional and physical pain are just some of the tangible costs of felony.
Obviously it is your job as a member of your community to report any crime you see take place – not just for the good of those involved, but also to protect yourself in future.
Sometimes the hassle of reporting a crime seems too much, and it appears to be easier to just ignore the problem in the hope that it will go away. You no longer have this excuse. With the launch of the first secure on line criminal activity reporting system in the world, telling your story has never been faster or more simple.
