One in two people shop online

Huge e-commerce growth looks promising

New research shows that close to half of the American adult population has made at least one online purchase.

The survey was completed by 39,000 Web users, 48.2 percent of which have made a purchase online since they have started using the Internet.

These new results show that the concept of e-commerce growth in Australia is nothing to laugh at, not when one in two Americans are involved and we are only just behind.

While more than $3.5 billion is being spent online yearly, the area of e-commerce is really taking off in a big way.
