More than 100 pets were micro-chipped on the weekend at the Bass Coast Summer Agricultural Show. Bass Coast Shire Council and Trovan conducted the micro-chipping day on Saturday 11 January at the Show.

"We were delighted with the number of pet owners who brought their pet to be micro-chipped," said Deb Amor, Senior Local Laws Officer. "Each of these pets is now permanently identified and can be returned to their owner if they are lost."

Ninety-eight dogs and 5 cats were micro-chipped on Saturday.

A micro-chipping day will be held on Phillip Island later in the year.

For more details about micro-chipping your pet, contact Council’s Local Laws Unit on 5671 2211 or 5951 3311.
