GippsTAFE launches its 2003 CD ROM!Following the success of 2002's "GippsTAFE Plus" cd, this year will see a new cd rom By Eimear McNelis - 13th January 2003 - Back to News GippsTAFE’s 2002 Interactive CD Rom "GippsTAFE Plus" was such a big hit that GippsTAFE have developed a 2003 CD Rom, which is now available.
The information CD was originally developed earlier last year for the Secondary Schools Tertiary Information Service (TIS) Tour as an alternative to the course guide.
Student Services Officer, Darren Teller, said that the CD Rom was a much more relevant format for teenagers.
"The CD is a unique product as it not only contains the GippsTAFE Course Guide, but descriptions of individual courses, video and audio footage of students, and information on the Motorcycle and Truck Training arm of the Institute, SMART Training."
"The CD also provides updated information through a link to the GippsTAFE website, so students can see the latest news about GippsTAFE on the Internet," said Mr Teller.
GippsTAFE is also hosting a Virtual Open Week on the GippsTAFE website January 6-17 for prospective students.
The Virtual Open Week site boasts up-to-date course information, virtual tours of campuses, the opportunity to ‘chat’ on-line to GippsTAFE staff, Student Services, information for parents page, and other useful links including the Gippsland Portal and GippsRealestate.
Mr Teller will be available to advise prospective students from Jan 13-17 by email enquiries@gippstafe.vic.edu.au.
GippsTAFE’s Student Services staff work across Gippsland providing assistance and advice to students about studying at GippsTAFE, and organising student activities.
For more course information or a FREE copy of the CD, please contact GippsTAFE’s Student Services Department on 5127 0277.
