A Gippsland Education Precinct forum will be held on the Monash Gippsland Campus on Monday, December 9. The aim of the forum is for Working Parties – Student Services, Programs and Pathways, ICT and Research and Development to report on achievements, progress to date, future plans and to identify any gaps. The innovative education initiative will be operational for its first intake of students in January 2004.
Mr Christopher Swanson - Assistant Director, LA&S Student Abroad Program and Dr James Montgomery - Associate Professor, Environmental Science Department of De Paul University, Chicago will be visiting the Gippsland Campus on Monday, December 11. The visitors will undertake a tour of the campus and accommodation, with a presentation from the Environmental staff of the School of Applied Sciences at the Gippsland Campus.
Making the Grade
Last week, Sport and Outdoor Recreation at the Gippsland Campus signed a contract with the Singapore Polytech and University to provide an eight-day Adventure Leadership Program. As a result, commencing today students from Singapore will be taught at the Gippsland Campus by both Sport and Outdoor Recreation staff and students. This is the first time this service has been offered, but if successful it could be expanded in the future.

Next week is Change of Preference Week when secondary students have received ENTER scores and make a final decision about their tertiary courses. To assist students with the decision, the Gippsland Campus will be holding an information and advice session on Tuesday, December 17, from 3-6pm at the Faculty of Business & Economics Conference Room, Building 5N Northways Road, Churchill.
