GippsTAFE Student Finishes with Top Marks! Narelle Ratzman working at the Department of Human Services "This traineeship has changed my life, now I have a career!" By Eimear McNelis - 11th November 2002 - Back to News Twenty-six year old Narelle Ratzman is delighted to hear that she received distinctions and credits in her Certificate III in Office Administration course at GippsTAFE, completing a 12 month traineeship in just 10 months.
Ms Ratzman said that her life changed dramatically when she was offered an Office Administration Traineeship at the Department of Human Services in Morwell.
"I went to TAFE 3 days a week for 3 hours each day, and then I would come to work for the rest of the day," said Ms Ratzman.
Ms Ratzman said that the traineeship was a lot of work, but she enjoyed it all.
"It was like being back at high school again and I made a lot of friends," said Ms Ratzman.
"It was a great learning experience, before I started the course I didn’t even know how to turn a computer on, it’s amazing!"
Ms Ratzman also said that she was surprised to get such high marks as she was an average student at secondary school.
"This traineeship has changed my life, now I have a career!"
GippsTAFE’s Certificate III in Business (Administration) is designed to provide students with an introduction to the office environment.
Topics covered in the course include work environment, using a computer, collecting and providing information, designing and developing documents, and providing information and advice.
