Training And Assessment Students GraduateGippsTAFE students complete Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training in Warragul By Eimear McNelis - 4th November 2002 - Back to News A group of GippsTAFE students have recently completed a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training in Warragul.
The course is designed for those who provide training, staff development, assessing and instruction as part of their job.
The group commenced the course in March and concluded with a debrief evening during the month.
Campus Manager, Doug Mullen, spoke to the group about VET pathways and congratulated the groups on their successful completion of the course.
"There was a wide industry base represented in the groups, with the facilitator, Maggie Griffin, having a reputation for excellence in this field," said Sandra Nestor, Coordinator of the Centre of Business Studies and Information Technology.
"Many of the students will now go on to the Diploma of Training and Assessment Systems."
The Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training enables participants to develop training knowledge, skills and attitudes that they require to work competently as workplace trainers in whatever subject they are training or wish to be trained.
Topics covered in the course include plan assessment, review assessment, train small groups, plan and promote a training program, plan a series of training sessions, deliver training sessions and review training.
