26 local businesses entered this year’s Best Dressed Business Competition, and the judges were amazed at the high standard of entries.

"The competition aims to help create the terrific atmosphere that surrounds Grand Prix by encouraging local business to decorate their premises in a racing theme," said Cr Gains, Mayor of Bass Coast Shire Council. "This year’s entrants are simply fantastic."

Judges spent Friday 11 October visiting all 26 premises and rating each site on their displays. Judges included Cr Gains, Fergus Cameron from the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, David Atkins from the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and Anouk Lombard from Lombard The Paper People.

The winners will be presented with their prizes at the Bass Coast Shire Council meeting on Wednesday 16 October at the Bass Coast Civic Centre, Wonthaggi.

First prize winners in both small and large business categories win 2 three-day Grandstand Passes to the Grand Prix (valued at $430) and 2 Grand Prix Gala Ball tickets (valued at $150). Second prize winners in both categories win a three-day family pass to the Grand Prix.

"I’d like to thank everyone who entered the competition and decorated their premises to welcome the influx of visitors over the Grand Prix weekend," said Cr Gains.
