Inaugural Small Business Seminar A Success!New programs implemented to support growth of local businesses By Robyn Neeson - 23rd September 2002 - Back to News The Inaugural Small Business Seminar that the Minister for Small Business launched last Friday was a great success. The Minister confirmed her support for the region and the programs that are being implemented.
The seminar was attended by 60 people from a wide range of small businesses in the region. They enjoyed the stimulating and dynamic presentation from Innovative Practical Marketing's Roy Hardman and Robyn Neeson as well as the opportunity to network afterwards.
Many small business owners are unaware of the variety of local business that they can use to benefit not just their business but the whole region. Everyone at the seminar thought that it was worthwhile finding out about other small businesses and talking with those with similar issues.
Some of the comments about the seminar afterwards included "gained valuable information", "stimulated me to work on my business", "good networking opportunities", "a lot better than I expected", and "very practical, not heaps of theory".
A number of small business people expressed interest in joining the small business network.
