A once-off business enhancement program is coming to Gippsland. The E-commerce Advantage Workshop is designed to inform, assist and support the implementation of electronic commerce (e-commerce) in Victroia’s small to medium sized business enterprises.

The course, which runs over the first weekend in September, will provide 12 people (limited places available, book yours now!) with education and practical skills for the implementation of e-commerce in business, combining both theoretical and hands on learning techniques.

Upon completion of the two-day program, participants will receive nationally recognized TAFE business course credits in Module 1 e-Commerce Business Communication Processes and Module 2 & 3 e-marketing & e-business.

The commencement of the course is supported by the Federal and State Government, who believe that e-commerce plays a vital role in providing Australian businesses with a new window of opportunity for locating and communicating with customers both here in Australia and around the world.

The outcomes of the workshop include…

  • An understanding of on-line marketing and promotion of products and services and how to put strategies in place to address or improve those practices
  • An understanding of search engines, electronic Business promotion, business to business transactions and virtual shopping

  • The ability to identify the steps for their business, what actions to take (how and when) based on realized needs and opportunities
  • The ability to clarify and determine a future pathway for e-commerce within their individual business infrastructure
  • The examination of companies that have been successful in incorporating e-commerce into business operations
