Karma Push Set To Ignite The Underage Scene Acclaimed locals Channel 3 to rock out June 29 Great live music from local up-and-coming artists at the end of June By Emma Kae - 10th June 2002 - Back to News The event will include a performance by crowd favourites Channel 3. Since the close of 1998, local Moe three-piece Channel 3 have been going from strength to strength. Their huge popularity among the local alternative scene is slowly expanding to include followings in the Melbourne suburban areas.
With their catchy mix of original punk rock tunes and entertaining on-stage antics, the boys have proved to be one of Gippsland’s most memorable musical exports, and have wasted no time in proving themselves to audiences everywhere.
Having successfully released two e.p’s to a very receptive audience already (When In Doubt and Unlucky For Some) the band is keen to return to the studio and record for a third time in 2002. Two of their tracks were recently added to compilation CD, and are due for release mid year.
Playing alongside headlining acts such as Area 7, The Living End, The Superjesus and Bodyjar, Channel 3 are working up audiences everywhere. See what Channel 3 is all about. Catch them live, at the Karma Hall, Buckley St. Morwell on June 29.
There will be several other live acts on the night, with bands yet to be announced. Doors open at 7:30 pm, so get there early to be guaranteed entry.
The Karma Push Club is a volunteer run not-for-profit organisation, supported by Victorian Government Initiatives FreeZA and The Push.
All events are all-age, drug and alcohol free. Gigs provide the committee volunteers with valuable experience in the music industry, new bands a place in which to play and the youth of Gippsland with a great night out.
