Ever wondered what to do with your Christmas cards once the festive season is over? Bass Coast Shire Council is once again calling on residents to recycle their Christmas cards.

"You can either put the cards into your fortnightly recycling collection bin or drop them into any of Council’s customer service centres," said Katie Moon, Waste Management/Environmental Officer with Council.

"We’ll then send the cards to Melbourne to be recycled into new cardboard products," said Katie.

Last year Bass Coast Shire residents recycled more than 28,000 cards after Christmas.

"You can do your bit for the environment by ensuring your cards don’t end up in landfill," said Katie.
