Bowling against twelve juniors Brett, started off slowly but finished off really stong to not only win his first ever title but secured enough pins to finish 2nd in the state against almost 400 junior bowlers to secure a $300.00 Harvey Norman Voucher. Young Kate Maniago finished in 2nd place after leading for most of the tournament with Robert Hillenaar just 3 pins back in third place and only 3 pins ahead of Peter Webb in fourth spot. This tournamtn is sponsored by Goldpin Victoria and twenty two centres throughout Vicotria had a qualifying period and then bowlers bowled in a final to determine State winners in their division. All scores are collates and the winners are announced based on the highest scores registered over the weekend. A total of 900 bowlers tried out in finals with the winner's coming from Mentone and Greensborough. This was the first time that a Junior division had been added and the results were fantastic with all centres confirming substantial increases in entries compared to the last couple of years. In the adult division Michael Bosma took out first place from Murray Monds and Adrian Page. Early favourite Tom Johnstone could not sustain the pressure and evetually finished in 6th place. The ladies provided a see-saw between Jenny Lambourn and Sue Jones with the eventual winner Sue having a sizeable lead at the conclusion of the tournament. Sue score gave her a fourth placing in the state only a few pins from being in the top 3 positions. Sue felt that he ecperience in previous state team representation helped her win today and she is looking forward to this years state teams qualifying trials at Boronia in 2 weeks time. Results:
