The images in the exhibition ‘Rest Area’ are the result of the artist’s travels to local sites and wilderness areas over the last six months. Latrobe Regional Gallery Director, Louise Tegart, said that snow-capped trees, brooding stormy skies, wildlife and shadows have been captured on a digital camera and printed on watercolour paper to produce soft, velvety images. "Sarah Adams grew up in Gippsland and returned in 2003 to complete a degree in Visual Arts at "The development of the exhibition has been enlightening for the artist and she has revisited her love of nature and strong beliefs for environmental conservation. Practicing from an art studio in Moe, with a view of the Baw Baws, Sarah Adams intends to continue her documentation of local wonderlands. The exhibition will be on show until Saturday 19 September.
