More Gold for BowsBows Natural Ice Cream won the esteemed 2001 Product Makers Award By Latrobe City Council - 17th May 2001 - Back to News Bows Natural Ice Cream won the esteemed 2001 Product Makers Award at last week’s Dairy Industry Association of Australia’s awards luncheon.
Competing in the Gourmet Style Ice Cream category, Bows won with the highest score based on winning two gold and three silver awards for five ice cream flavours.
In winning gold awards for example, Bows scored as high as 99.5 points, placed ahead of strong competition from other boutique ice cream manufacturers.
In accepting their awards, proprietors Allan Clam and Vajo Simic said that it was a credit to all the staff members at the MidValley and Sale outlets.
"The continued success by Bows in winning annual awards is certainly good for business, but to win an overall specific category award proves that we are able to manufacture a top quality product which has been judged as such by our peers," Mr Simic said.
By winning these awards, Bows Natural Ice Cream will now be invited to enter the Dairy Industry association of Australia Australian Championships, to be held in Sydney later this year.
In congratulating Bows Natural Ice Cream, Latrobe City Mayor, Cr Brendan Jenkins, emphasised the skills of locally based boutique food manufacturers.
"Businesses such as Bows really know what their market wants and therefore produce consistently high quality products to meet that demand," Cr Jenkins said.
"Bows have, once again, won industry acclaim, and fully deserve our congratulations," he added.
