GippsTAFE International HandbookFashion Department Coordinator returns from a visit to China By Eimear McNelis - 16th July 2002 - Back to News GippsTAFE Fashion Department Coordinator, Kath Medew, has just returned from a visit to China, where CGIT (Central Gippsland Insitute of TAFE) International’s new "CGIT International Student Handbook" has proved to be a big hit with prospective Chinese students.
"The International Student Handbook looks great," said Ms Medew.
"Overall during my visit to China I distributed about 250 handbooks to prospective students."
"The handbook is easy to understand and more course specific. A unique feature of the handbook is the space at the back where course information can be slipped in, depending on what courses the student is interested in," said Ms Medew.
The CGIT International Handbook is aimed at providing prospective international students with some general information in deciding which course they will take for their pathways to higher education.
The CGIT International Handbook contains an overview of Gippsland, the Australian Education System and other topics including employment, finance and banking, a guide to the cost of living, Australian Government requirements and general entrance requirements.
GippsTAFE courses in automotive, business, fashion, hospitality, painting and decorating, and tourism are now being offered to international students.
For more information about CGIT International please call the GippsTAFE Business Development Unit on 51204 500.
