As well as talking about how businesses can become more sustainable, specific companies will be highlighted as examples of local success stories. Making the GradeMr. Brian Stark won the 2004 Jenny Hill Memorial Award for Innovative Practice in Disability Support at the annual Disability Awards held at Gippsland Campus on Wednesday, October 20. Mr. Stark transformed a campus audit report for disability access into a user-friendly system which is now being used across all of Monash. Jenny Hill was a distinguished Gippsland campus staff member.
Prof. Karen Francis and Ms. Merilyn Cross presented three conference papers at the Fifth Canadian Rural Health Research Society Conference and the Fourth International Rural Nurses’ Congress late last week. While presenting at the Canadian conferences, the two will also visit various Canadian universities to discuss the potential of collaborative international research. Felicity Astin, the School of Nursing’s first PhD student, graduated in October. Ms. Astin is now working in the Open SubjectThe Language & Learning Services Unit (LLS) at the Gippsland Campus provides a University-wide academic support program for Monash students which include Transition Support, Integrated Faculty Support, Participation Support, and Postgraduate Support.
