Discuss and practise a home escape plan with the whole family, this will ensure everybody knows the quickest way out of your home and your agreed safe meeting place.
PARTYSAFE Program:In conjunction with the Premiers Drug Prevention Council, Registering your party with PARTYSAFE at your local police station will provide your local police with the information they will need if they are called to your party to deal with a disturbance. PARTYSAFE is about minimising the risk of having intoxicated guests or gatecrashers ruin your party. A breakdown or mishap on the road can thoroughly spoil what was going to be a good holiday. Make sure your vehicle has a towing kit that complies with the van’s requirements. Fit recommended exterior rear view mirrors. Don’t load the vehicle beyond its towing weight. Increase the pressure in the towing vehicle’s rear tyres in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions; also add some extra air pressure to the front tyres. Check the van’s tyres for correct inflation, and brakes for operation. Carry a fire extinguisher in the van. Make sure you have the correct spare wheel for the van, and a jack that can jack up the van. Check the van’s wheel bearings and condition of tyres. Fill water tanks and gas bottles and lock and secure the van’s interior. When travelling leave at least 60m between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead. Perhaps most importantly, pull over if you are holding up traffic. Police Crime Report October 2009 NHW Area LTB1Due To Privacy Considerations NOT ALL Offences For This Area Are Listed
