Cashin Street Completeashin Street in Inverloch has received a facelift. There is now additional drainage to better cope with heavy rains, 250 metres of damaged kerb has been replaced and the road has been re-sealed between By Bass Coast Shire Council - 24th October 2008 - Back to News Toorak and Lavington Street.
The works began in February this year and Council’s Infrastructure Director, Steve Piasente, said the improvements ensure the road handles frequent traffic.
"Cashin Street is a busy road providing access to a number of off-shoot streets in a highly populated area of Inverloch," Mr Piasente said.
"Because of the scale of the job, there were some traffic delays along the way and I would like to thank motorists and residents for their patience."
Works are also expected to start on another well-used road in Inverloch in the coming weeks.
Bolding Place will be upgraded, providing better access to the Inverloch RSL and behind the Inverloch Recreation Reserve.
"The drainage will be upgraded and the road re-sealed," Mr Piasente said.
"Again, we ask motorists to be patient during this process as there will be some traffic delays.
"We anticipate the works to be complete by this Christmas."
