Leading Business Adviser to Speak at Gippsland Home Based Business SeminarsBy - 29th July 2005 - Back to News At the Australian Governments Gippsland Home Based Business seminars leading Victorian expert on Business planning and business development Merv Neal will demonstrate the simplest and most effective business planning technique you will ever see. Merv will demonstrate how you’re whole business, and its future, can fit onto an A4 sheet of paper.
In an interactive and sometimes confronting presentation, Merv Neal will amaze you by showing how simple developing your business can be!
Merv Neal says that one of the most important aspects to achieve a successful business is to plan growth and development and to monitor growth against cash flow and operational targets. A number of small businesses run into trouble or do not reach full potential because of lack of planning or failing to identify or even understand that the business is not achieving profitable and sustainable results.
These seminars, presented by the Australian Government through the Small Business Answers Program, are a step in the right direction to assist home business operators to become more successful, Merv said.
Merv Neal is the Managing Director of Maurant Business Associates and has more than 25 years owning and managing his own companies. He is an Associated Fellow of the Institute of Management, an affiliated member of the National Speakers Association of Australia, and last year received the Mentor of the Year award.
Merv said that his unique presentation will be based on the One Page Business Plan and The Balanced Scorecard, which have been designed for the small businesses market to enable them to develop and manage change.
Other topics of the seminar will include: Marketing your business, presented by Gippslander Chris Buckingham Director of Go…To Pty Ltd, as well as presentations on Intellectual Property, Taxation, Risk Management and advice on developing an export potential. Speakers selected for each presentation have in-depth expertise in their topics as well as an understanding of the Gippsland region.
The half day Home Based Business seminars will be held at the Century Inn Traralgon on Tuesday 9th of August and the Quality Inn Bellevue at Lakes Entrance on Wednesday 10th of August. The seminars will commence at 9:00 am. For further information contact the Gippsland Small Business Answer Team on 1800 669 300.
