GippsTAFE Koorie Art Exhibition An example of the artwork set to be on display An outstanding showcase of artwork by Aboriginal and Torres Strait students By Eimear McNelis - 18th October 2002 - Back to News GippsTAFE’s Koorie Unit will be presenting an exhibition of student’s work, to be held over two weeks.
The exhibition is titled "Ninde Doorahbun: Our Journey through Art" and will be held at the Old Butter Factory, 1 Main Road, Drouin.
The exhibition will showcase artwork from Certificate III and IV Aboriginal and Torres Strait Art Design students from the Morwell and Warragul Campuses.
The exhibition is of indigenous artwork specific to the Gunai/Kurnai people of Central and West Gippsland.
The Opening Night of the exhibition will be held on Friday 25th October at 7.00pm with guest speakers followed by music and performance.
The exhibition will also display invitation artwork by Eileen Harrison.
Gallery hours will be 10.30am to 4.30pm Saturday 26, Sunday 27, and Thursday 31 October and Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November or by appointment.
