Neighbourhood Watch Area LTB25Next meeting ~ 7:30pm Tuesday 16th November (Cameron Street Community Centre, Traralgon) By news@gippsland - 16th November 2004 - Back to News Due to the early newsletter drop we had a small turn up to our October meeting. We hope we can get a better turnout this month.
At the last meeting we decided to have a Christmas break up BBQ at the Bert Thompson reserve... the date will be decided at the November meeting.
The BBQ held in the Kay Street gardens for the Police Open Day was a great success. Thanks to Tom, Pauline, Dave, Kaylene and all the others who helped with setting up, cooking and cleaning up.
The police said it was a good day with over 300 people touring through the station. A letter of thanks has gone out to Hyland Street Butchers who donated the sausages and Hot Bread who donated the bread. Please support these businesses in thanks for their contributions to the Neighbourhood Watch Area.
There were a number of police reports:
- 2 x theft of a motor vehicle
- 1 x theft from a motor vehicle
- 1 x theft
- 1 x burglary
- 5 x property damage
- 1 x stolen car
- 9 offenders were processed for the month showing that a lot of people are being caught for offences.
Please remember that if you are going on holidays that Absence of Residence forms are available from the police station at any time.
Last but not least, if you see a crime or anything suspicious, please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
