Latrobe City’s arts director, Julie Adams, said that participants would learn to improve their drawing skills in the relaxed setting.

"This is a program for artists to engage with other artists in an atmosphere conducive to improving drawing and observation skills. The program is open to artists of all levels and abilities.

"Equipment such as drawing easels, boards and clips are provided. Light refreshments are also provided, but participants are asked to bring their own materials such as paper, charcoal, pencils and inks.

"This program is always popular so bookings are essential," Ms Adams said.

The nine week program commences Monday 2 May and continues until Monday 27 June. The cost is $100 or $90 for Friends members. Bookings and payment must be made by Friday 29 April 2011.
