Wellington Muso’s Network Event "Wellington Muso’s Network" will host their first event in Maffra this week. By Wellington Shire Council - 16th May 2006 - Back to News The network aims to provide opportunities for young bands in the Wellington Shire to perform.
Local bands Hysteria, Mezzanine, Liquid Optimism and a Maffra Secondary College band will keep the crowd entertained at the event to be held this Friday 19 May) at the Maffra Memorial Hall.
The event kicks off at 7.30 and will run until 11.30pm
Wellington Shire Council’s Youth Development Officer David Roberts said it was hoped the event would be the first of many for the group.
"This is a fantastic way to help young bands get some experiences and it also gives other young people a great night out in a safe environment".
"We are hoping that young people in our shire will really get behind this event and this group to help make it a success" he said.
This underage event is supported by FReeZA and Wellington Shire and will be alcohol and drug free.
The event is fully supervised and there no pass outs.
Tickets are available from Leading Edge in Sale, the Maffra Secondary College office, and Fusion in Maffra.
A bus will run from Sale and if there is demand buses may also run from Stratford and Rosedale.
The tickets are $10 for bus and entry, $8 for the entry.
The bus leaves @ 7pm form Sale Secondary College.
