Trafalgar Business Centre to be sold to fund new oval at Trafalgar Recreation Reserve
Baw Baw Shire Council voted to sell the Trafalgar Business Centre and allocate proceeds to the Trafalgar Property Sale Reserve for a new oval at Trafalgar Recreation Reserve.
Proceeds from the sale of Trafalgar Business Centre will be quarantined for the construction of a second oval at Trafalgar Recreation Reserve. Baw Baw Shire Council today voted to proceed with selling Trafalgar Business Centre and for the money to be put aside in a new reserve, Trafalgar Property Sale Reserve.
Baw Baw Shire Council voted to sell Trafalgar Business Centre and earmark proceeds for constructing a second oval at Trafalgar Recreation Reserve
The property, located at 107 Princes Highway in Trafalgar, will be sold via public auction pursuant to Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020. Council undertook community consultation for 30 days in May this year in line with council's Community Engagement Policy and received five submissions about the potential sale. Consultation included a public notice, letters to adjoining landowners, and contact with the Trafalgar Chamber of Commerce.
