Who: Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Veronica Dowman and Councillors Steven Piasente, Community and Economic Development Director Hon Ken Smith MLA, State member for Bass
2011 Australia Day Award Winners:
Caroline Talbot – Citizen of the Year
Ryan Bowler - Young Citizen of the Year
Alan Fraser - Environmental Ambassador of the Year
Why: Eleven residents from the Shire will take part in the Citizenship Ceremony. They will be officially welcomed as new Australians to the Country and the Municipality. The residents are based in Wonthaggi, Cape Woolamai, Inverloch and Cowes.
